Aviation and history fans alike will delight in the Wings of Dreams Aviation Museum at Keystone Heights Airport in Starke, FL.
Keystone Heights Airport, formerly Keystone Army Airfield, has a rich military history. It was an Army Air Corps air base training reconnaissance pilots during World War II. It also played home field for a squadron of fighter pilots preparing for the Normandy Invasion.
Consequently, a good part of the museum’s mission is to preserve this otherwise obscure corner of wartime history. The museum collection contains more than just airport history, however. A LOT more!
