Christine and Barry Janks founded the Carson Springs Wildlife Conservation Foundation in 2003. Their mission was a simple one: they wanted to house and rehabilitate abandoned, abused, and/or endangered exotic and native animals. Further, they hoped to help educate their visitors about these wonderful animals and the role they play.
From the looks of things, it would seem they succeeded!
Carson Springs Wildlife Conservation Foundation currently houses over 70 animals representing 25 different species. Unlike many facilities, here they go above and beyond the minimum standards set by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
