Another summer has come and gone and now it’s time for UF Homecoming 2019 and the attendant Gator Growl Week. This year’s homecoming game pits the Gators against the Auburn Tigers on October 5th following a week of festivities starting September 29th.
UF Homecoming week arrives early this year, with some of the week’s many events landing in the month of September. If you plan on coming out for the nation’s largest student-run pep rally, now is the time to acquire those accommodations and Hampton Lake Bed & Breakfast would love to help.

Homecoming Leadership Pageant – 7pm to 9pm
Come out and support the contenders for this year’s Homecoming court at the University Auditorium. Six students, including king and queen, will be selected stand with pride on the field the night of the Homecoming game.
Soulfest 2019 – 7pm to 9:30pm
Enjoy a night of diverse and competitive entertainment showcasing the talent and energy of both the school and community. Competition winners have the opportunity to perform on stage at Gator Growl, just like the big name acts! Held at the Curtis M Phillips Center.
Homecoming Festival – 10:30am to 12:30pm
Start off homecoming with this family-friendly, carnival-style festival at the Plaza of the Americas. Entertainment includes a DJ, bounce house, lawn games, food, vendors, and more.
SunTrust Gator Gallop – 11:15am to 1:15pm
Get on your kicks and do the Gator Gallop on the Homecoming Parade route down University Avenue This 2.6-mile fun-run is for folks of all abilities. Don’t forget to register and get your free t-shirt first, though!
96th annual Homecoming Parade – 12pm to 2pm
Don’t miss the largest student-run parade in the nation! UF Homecoming Parade will once again see over 120 different entrants making their festive way down University Avenue to Main Street. This beloved annual event attracts over 100,000 people each year. Arrive early to grab yourself a good spot!
Gator Growl 2019 – 6pm – 10pm
Thee main event! Gator Growl is the nation’s largest student-run pep rally with comedy, athletics, cheerleaders, marching bands, and more on Flavet Field! This year’s event features country music sensations Chase Rice, LANCO, and will be hosted by YouTube sensation Scooter Magruder!
33rd annual Alumni Homecoming BBQ – Time TBA
Come tailgate in your orange and blue with a catered barbecue meal and entertainment in the Pharmacy Courtyard at Emerson Alumni Hall. Held three and a half hours prior to Florida’s homegame vs SEC-rival Auburn. Get your Homecoming BBQ tickets now!
Homecoming Game vs Auburn Tigers – Time TBA
Reserve your seat in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for the 2019 homecoming when Florida hosts Alabama. The Gators own a 67-26-2 record in Homecoming games all-time, including a 25-5 mark since 1989. This is the first time Auburn travels to Gainesville since 2007. Once again, game time will be announced as game day approaches.
