Instead of exotic animals like chimpanzees or pythons, they rescue and provide a forever home to cows, pigs, donkeys, and other domestic farm animals!

Lions, tigers, and bears may get all the press but they’re not the only animals that find themselves in need of rescue. Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary rescues the animals most of us take for granted, if we think of them at all: domestic farm animals.

Just like their more exciting cousins, domestic “work” and “production” animals like pigs and chickens can get injured or be abused and neglected. This is where Critter Creek’s 200-acre farm sanctuary and wildlife preserve, just north of Gainesville, comes in.

UF Homecoming 2019 and Gator Growl Week

UF Homecoming 2019 Gator Growl WeekAnother summer has come and gone and now it’s time for UF Homecoming 2019 and the attendant Gator Growl Week. This year’s homecoming game pits the Gators against the Auburn Tigers on October 5th following a week of festivities starting September 29th.

UF Homecoming week arrives early this year, with some of the week’s many events landing in the month of September. If you plan on coming out for the nation’s largest student-run pep rally, now is the time to acquire those accommodations and Hampton Lake Bed & Breakfast would love to help.
