This year promises plenty of traditional fun and excitement with a homecoming game against the LSU Tigers and big name entertainment from Snoop Dogg and Grammy Award winning breakout musician, Daya!

There’s nothing quite like the fun of University of Florida’s Homecoming and Gator Growl Week. The excitement of the homecoming game is further amped-up by a week of fun activities like Homecoming Parade, Soulfest, Tailgate, and so much more.

Gator Growl has the distinction of being the biggest student-run pep rally in the nation. The inclusion of super-star entertainers like Snoop Dogg and Daya only heighten the excitement and anticipation.

So go ahead: come on out and show your pride and spirit for the University of Florida during the 2017 UF Homecoming and Gator Growl Week!

2017 University of Florida Homecoming and Gator Growl Events
September 24, 2017
Homecoming Pageant
– 7pm
at the Curtis M Phillips Center
The Homecoming Pageant showcases what the University of Florida and its students have to offer. The UF Homecoming King and Queen will be announced during Gator Growl on October 6th.

October 1, 2017
– 5:30pm to 7pm
at the Curtis M Phillips Center
Soulfest is a free, live multicultural extravaganza showcasing the talents of UF students and local community members. The winner of the competition will get a chance to perform at Gator Growl along side the big name acts! Come out and support all the great UF and Gainesville talent!

October 6, 2017
Homecoming Festival
– 10am to 12pm
at the Plaza of the Americas
The Homecoming Festival is a free, family-friendly event that celebrates homecoming week and the University of Florida. Entertainment at the festival includes a DJ, bounce house, lawn games, food, vendors, and more.

SunTrust Gator Gallop – 11:15am
at the Percy Beard Track
This two-mile, family-friendly run is for people of all athletic abilities. The run takes place on the UF campus, starting at the James G. Pressly Stadium and ending at the Homecoming Festival in the Plaza of the Americas. Registration includes a bib number and a SunTrust Gator Gallop T-shirt. Pre-Registration begins August 1st and cost $15. Day of race registration is $20.

94th Homecoming Parade – 12pm
University Avenue to Main Street Downtown
The annual Homecoming Parade attracts over 100,000 people and broadcast throughout North and Central Florida. University Avenue will shut down at noon on Friday for over 150 floats and organizations marching in the parade.

October 7, 2017
Homecoming BBQ at Gator Nation Tailgates
– 12pm to 2pm
at Emerson Alumni Hall
The Homecoming BBQ tailgate is open to all alumni and friends. Tailgate includes food vendors, air conditioning, live entertainment, and appearances from Albert and Alberta. Tailgate is set to start 3 hours before kickoff and 30 minutes before the end of the homecoming football game against LSU Tigers.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
Come on out and cheer on the Gators as they face off against the Louisiana State University Tigers!
