Gainesville Downtown Festival and Art Show 2016Planning on attending the 35th annual Gainesville Downtown Festival and Art Show, November 5th and 6th, 2016? Great idea! The festival is a great place to discover new art and artists, as well as enjoy live music and mouthwatering eats!

The 35th annual Gainesville Downtown Festival and Art Show promises to once again transform downtown Gainesville into a celebration of art and creativity.

This beloved festival is bringing 240 artists from around the country to Northern Florida for an opportunity to display and sell their original works. Painting, sculpture, wood, glass, jewelry, ceramics, photography, fiber art, and more will be on display for the over 100,000 art lovers expected to attend.

Much more than visual art, the Downtown Festival and Art Show also brings with it plenty of great, live entertainment. Four stages placed throughout the festival area will host bands, solo artists, and dance companies. Good, upbeat folk, jazz, country, pop, rock and soul will fill the air.

Food booths will be mingled among the art booths, offering all manner of tempting treats. Homemade ice cream to crisp, pad-Thai, barbecue ribs, pitas, jambalaya and more. With upwards of 20 different food vendors, you’ll definitely find something good to eat. Maybe too much!
